(Alliance News) - Piazza Affari on Monday -- like other major European stock exchanges -- opened the week slightly down, reflecting an overall cautious mood. Traders continue to assess the economic and monetary outlook as they await important key data scheduled for this week, including the preliminary inflation reading for the Eurozone and Germany, PCE inflation for the US and PMIs for China.

Headlights are also on ECB President Christine Lagarde, who is scheduled to appear in a hearing at the European Parliament today.

In Asia, financial markets have been on a bearish path. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index fell 0.5 percent, while the Shanghai Composite in China fell 0.2 percent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index, on the other hand, fell 0.2 percent.

The FTSE Mib, therefore, is down 0.4 percent at 29,321.72.

In Europe, London's FTSE 100 is giving up 0.1 percent, Paris' CAC 40 is the only bullish one with 0.2 percent, and Frankfurt's DAX 40 is just above par.

Among the smaller lists, the Mid-Cap is in the green by 0.3 percent to 41,903.56, the Small-Cap is giving up 0.1 percent to 25,956.96, and Italy Growth marks a 0.1 percent increase to 7,889.54.

On the main list of Piazza Affari, Stellantis is giving up 0.8 percent, with new price at EUR18.66 per share.

Tenaris--declining 0.6 percent--reported Saturday that it purchased nearly 2.0 million of its own shares between Nov. 20 and Nov. 24. The shares were purchased at an average price of EUR15.4806 for a total value of EUR30.6 million.

Raised target price, by Jefferies, on Intesa Sanpaolo. For the Turin-based bank, the new target price rises to EUR3.90 from EUR3.70. The shares paeerto the red by 0.2 percent to EUR2.59.

Starting well among the few in the segment was Banca Monte dei Paschi, which advanced 2.0% with new price at EUR3.04.

On the cadet segment, Ariston Holding is leading the price up 2.9% to EUR5.82 after Friday night's nearly flat session.

Good buys also on Salcef Group, which appreciates 2.1 percent on the heels of Friday night's green close of 3.2 percent.

Red for Antares Vision, which trades minus 0.8 percent at EUR2.52 per share after the previous session's 0.8 percent green.

On the SmallCap, Triboo is advancing 8.8 percent to EUR0.8180 after falling 8.3 percent in the previous session.

Unidata, on the other hand, is advancing 6.1 percent, bringing its price to EURE41.00 after a 1.8 percent downturn on Friday evening.

Among the SMEs, in a still uneventful list, Aton Green Storage, advances 4.3% bringing its weekly asset over 19%.

Also doing well is Ambromobiliare, which scores a plus 3.9%, rebounding after three bearish sessions.

Digital Magics, on the other hand, gives up 2.2%, after Friday night's 1.8% gain.

In New York on Friday, the Dow closed in the green by 0.3%, the Nasdaq fell 0.1%, and the S&P 500 picked up 0.1%.

Among currencies, the euro changed hands at USD1.0940 against USD1.0940 recorded in Friday's European equities close, while the pound was worth USD1.2607 from USD1.2606 on Friday evening.

Among commodities, Brent crude is worth USD80.24 per barrel from USD81.73 per barrel at Friday's close. Gold, on the other hand, trades at USD2,013.48 an ounce from USD2,000.41 an ounce Friday night.

On Monday's macro calendar, the data on job seekers in France at 1200 CET.

From the U.S., space for data on building permits, at 1400 CET, which anticipates those on home sales by two hours.

Among companies listed on the Stock Exchange, no particular events are expected.
