Based on the 84-Series from Spectralink, a global leader in wireless solutions, the Aastra 340w and Aastra 342w deliver on a fundamental need for enterprise-grade on-site voice mobility utilizing the enterprise's Wireless LAN. Characterized by market leading HD voice quality, durability, broad telephony and WLAN interoperability, these new handsets deliver a reliable user experience and predictable return on investment while helping improve end-user productivity.

Mobile connectivity throughout the workplace

Designed with the requirements of on-site workers in the healthcare, retail, and manufacturing industries in mind - the new Aastra 340w and 342w handsets unite the most critical elements of workplace communications within a single mobile device that is highly reliable and easy to use. These new handsets provide all the right tools for mobile professionals to keep connected with features such as; text alerts, instant messaging and push-to-talk paging. Built-in Safety and enhanced security features

Integrating personal safety features including panic and "man-down" designed to help protect mobile workers, as well as enterprise-grade security options and encryption protocols, the Aastra 340w and Aastra 342w handsets answer the needs of the most demanding workplace environments. Third-Party application development

Embedded API tools enable programmers to easily develop and customize 3rd party applications for Aastra 340w and 342w, such as alarm notification solutions for the healthcare industry, which further enhances the customer value proposition. Third party developers can register to gain access to the API under Aastra's A2P2 ecosystem framework.

A wide-ranging set of accessories are also available for the Aastra 340w and 342w including; a speakerphone dock providing full duplex HD voice, different charging options (dual and quad chargers) as well standard and extended life battery options.
