Abengoa, S.A. (the "Company"), in compliance with the provisions of article 226 of the Securities Market Act (Texto Refundido de la Ley del Mercado de Valores), notifies the National Securities Market Commission (Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores) the following

Privileged Information

In relation to the communication of privileged information published by the Company on June 30th, 2022 (register number 1520), through which the Company informed that the Board of Directors of Abengoa Abenewco 1, S.A.U. ("Abenewco 1"), in the interest of maintaining continued operations and safeguard the various stakeholders of the group, agreed to present the communication of protections under article 583 of the consolidated text of the insolvency law on June 30th, 2022 in order to initiate negotiations with creditors to reach a potential restructuring agreement for a list of 27 companies, the Company informs that the Board of Directors of Abenewco 1 has agreed to declare the voluntary insolvency of Abengoa Solar España, S.A.U.

The declaration has been effectively presented today in the relevant courts in Seville.

Pursuant to article 228.1 of the Restated Securities Market Act, the Company informs that the information contained herein is considered privileged in terms described in Regulation (EU) nº596/2014 of the European Parliament and the Board from April 16,2014.
