ADVEO Germany enters into negotiations to close its warehouse in Winkelhaid

  • •This decision responds to the Strategic Plan 2017-20 that aims at transforming ADVEO into the European Platform for workspace solutions.

Madrid, 12th February 2018.-According to several actions of efficiency improvements and adjusted to the Strategic Plan 2017-2020, ADVEO has commenced discussions with the works council representatives to close its warehouse in Winkelhaid (Germany). Thisalliance is a step forward in the company's process to improve efficiency, as it wasdefined in the Strategic Plan 2017-20, that aims at transforming ADVEO into the European Platform for Workspace Solutions

This process is justified by economical, productive and organizational causes, being scheduled its implementation during the first part of 2018 and is expected to entail the loss of 60 jobs in order to adapt the staff to the business needs in Germany. Thus, the mandatory period of consultations begins.

New challenges in the market require a more prepared Platform to give an answer toevery model of logistics (direct, indirect, B2C, B2B, B2B2C…). Due to that, the logisticsactivity will be focused in Höver, becoming the new logistic pole in Germany, guaranteeing a high level of service and promptness in delivery, while maximizing synergies in Europe, that is, more efficiency and multi-logistic services, adapted to the market evolution.

With the implementation of this process, the Company is expecting in short and medium term a better use of synergies, an increased efficiency in labor cost, eliminating duplications and oversizing, as well as a proper organizational structure adapted to the market evolution.
