AGR announces New Helm of Well Management business in Norway Published 13.10.2016
AGR has appointed Tore Øian to lead the company's Well Management business in Norway.
Tore has over 20 years' experience in the oil and gas industry and has managed complex drilling projects for major operators including Statoil and Det norske.

Svein Sollund, AGR's Chief Executive, commenting on the appointment, said: 'We have been providing Well Management support to our clients in Norway for over ten years and have worked on various drilling projects ranging from the first time licensee, multi-client rig campaigns to development and production well delivery projects.

'Tore is hugely experienced and knows the company well both as a previous client of us and as part of AGR's integrated well delivery team. His immediate priorities in the new role will be to use his decades of experience to further shape a nimble and competitive well management proposition on the Norwegian Continental Shelf combining our flexible contracting models and in-house access to technical skills and software tools covering the entire supply chain of upstream.'

Tore has a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Stavanger and will be based in Stavanger.

Having reached a 500 well milestone in 2014, AGR is currently managing its 533rd well for Engie on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
