FY2022: Overview of Consolidated Results

In FY2022, the global business environment tended towards gradual improvement, although regional differences persisted due to the shortage of semiconductors. However, in addition to a reduction in automotive production due to a shortage of parts supply caused by lockdown in China, Akebono continues to face an uncertain business environment impacted by factors such as rising raw material costs and energy costs due to an increase in geopolitical risk, etc.

Net Sales

There was a decrease in sales caused by the temporary suspension of manufacturing by automakers due to supply chain issues in accordance with the shortage of semiconductors. However, with the impact of the yen depreciation, net sales amounted to 154.0 billion yen (an increase of 13.6% year-on-year).
