Pacific Ethanol, Inc. Announces Management Changes

On May 22, 2020, Neil M. Koehler, the Pacific Ethanol, Inc’s Chief Executive Officer, informed the Company that he intends to retire from his positions as Chief Executive Officer effective on September 30, 2020. Effective as of May 22, 2020, and continuing until his retirement, Mr. Koehler will no longer serve as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer and will instead serve as the Company’s Co-President and Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Koehler will continue to serve on the Company’s board of directors until his successor takes office. On May 22, 2020, the Company appointed Michael D. Kandris as the Company’s Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Kandris will serve as the Company’s Co-President and Co-Chief Executive Officer in addition to his current role as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer until Mr. Koehler’s retirement, at which point he will serve as the Company’s President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Michael D. Kandris has served as a director since June 2008 and as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer since January 6, 2013.
Alto Ingredients, Inc. produces and distributes renewable fuel and essential ingredients and is a producer of specialty alcohols in the United States. The Company's segments include Pekin Campus production, marketing and distribution and Western production. Pekin Campus production segment includes the production and sale of alcohols and essential ingredients produced at the Companyâs Pekin, Illinois campus. Its marketing and distribution segment includes marketing and merchant trading for Company-produced alcohols and essential ingredients on an aggregated basis, and sales of fuel-grade ethanol sourced from third parties. Western production segment includes the production and sale of fuel-grade ethanol and essential ingredients produced the Companyâs two western production facilities. It produces specialty alcohols, fuel-grade ethanol and essential ingredients, focusing on various markets, such as health, home and beauty; food and beverage; essential ingredients, and renewable fuels.
