AMBU LAUNCHES SINGLE-USE HD CYSTOSCOPE SOLUTION WITHIN EUROPE
With the CE mark of Ambu® aScope™ 5 Cysto HD, Ambu brings a new HD cystoscope solution to urologists within Europe, hereby complementing the company's current urology offering by meeting advanced demands of high image quality cystoscopy procedures.
Today, Ambu announces European regulatory clearance (CE mark) of its new HD cystoscope, the Ambu® aScope™ 5 Cysto HD, in combination with the full-HD endoscopy system, the Ambu® aView™ 2 Advance.
With the new Ambu® aScope™ 5 Cysto HD, Ambu offers urologists a single-use cystoscope with next-level imaging due to the scope's high-resolution camera chip and the full-HD endoscopy system. As such, Ambu's urology offering now consists of two complementary single-use cystoscopes - the Ambu® aScope™ 4 Cysto and the Ambu® aScope™ 5 Cysto HD - supported by the Ambu® aView™ 2 Advance endoscopy system. Where the new HD cystoscope is designed for cystoscopy procedures that require superior imaging, the Ambu® aScope™ 4 Cysto will continue to target a wide range of standard cystoscopy procedures across outpatient clinics and hospitals.
On this basis, Ambu now offers urologists a strong selection of high-quality cystoscopes, enabling physicians to perform cystoscopy procedures in various settings and for all procedure needs. Furthermore, the average selling price for the Ambu® aScope™ 5 Cysto HD will come with a price premium, compared to Ambu® aScope™ 4 Cysto.
FUTURE EXPANSION OF UROLOGY PORTFOLIO
Further expansion of Ambu's urology portfolio is currently underway with the development of Ambu's single-use ureteroscope. This solution is designed for ureter and kidney procedures and will exceedingly strengthen the company's
offering within the single-use urology segment.

FAST-GROWING UROLOGY JOURNEY
Ambu's urology journey started in 2020 with the launch of the Ambu® aScope™ 4 Cysto. Since then, the company has seen strong revenue growth within the cystoscopy area, due to the solution's resonance with customers worldwide.
In particular, urologists are responding to the availability that comes with Ambu's single-use cystoscope solution, meaning that customers are not forced to wait on an endoscope to be reprocessed or cleaned before performing a procedure. Instead, with a single-use endoscope at hand, they can plan, manage and carry out cystoscopies whenever and wherever needed, across outpatient clinics and hospitals, making the solution particularly valuable in terms of workflow optimisation.
Ambu remains dedicated to continuing to support customers within the single-use urology segment and is excited to leverage growth opportunities going forward.
