DENVER (AP) — DENVER (AP) — Apartment Investment and Management Co. (AIV) on Thursday reported a loss of $151.5 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Denver-based company said it had a loss of $1.07.

The real estate investment trust posted revenue of $49.4 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $166.2 million, or $1.16 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $187 million.

Apartment Investment Management expects a full-year loss of 50 cents to 40 cents per share.

Apartment Investment Management shares have dropped slightly more than 2% since the beginning of the year, while the S&P's 500 index has increased almost 7%. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $7.65, a rise of nearly 4% in the last 12 months.
