IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2014), Booth #1515 – API Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:ATNY), a leading provider of high-performance RF/microwave, power, and security solutions for critical and high-reliability applications, introduces a new line of radiation-hardened (rad-hard) power conversion and control products designed for extreme environmental conditions and radiation exposure. The new line of rad-hard power products includes linear voltage regulators with adjustable or fixed output voltages (positive and negative voltage options), highly efficient point-of-load (switching) regulators, as well as solid state relays (SSR), which include radiation-hardened single pole, double throw (SPDT) SSR.

API’s space-qualified power products are offered in more than 45 models. These new products are ideal for use in military and space applications including communication satellites, deep space, launch and reentry vehicles, communication modules, scientific missions, and manned space platforms.

The products feature radiation hardness assurance up to 300 kRad TID, hermetically sealed packaging, and operation over the full -55o to +125oC temperature range, which ensures superior power management and consistent performance.

The Company currently operates two facilities certified to MIL-PRF-38534 Class K, the industry’s highest reliability standard for hybrid microcircuits.

Michael Schweyer, product line manager, RF/Microwave & Microelectronics, API Technologies said, “As a world-class provider of chip and wire hybrid microelectronics with space heritage dating back to 1976, we are well versed in the environmental, size, weight, and power challenges engineers face. This extension of our product line addresses the emerging need for efficient power, while expanding our footprint in the space and satellite markets.”

Offering one of the smallest footprints in the space industry, the products are designed to deliver efficiency levels for optimum performance in the most compact packages available.
