JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- APR Energy, a global leader in fast-track power solutions, announces today the appointment of Sean Hughes as regional sales director. Based out of Australia, Hughes will focus on developing fast-track power generation projects for the utility and industrial sectors in the Asia Pacific market.

'Sean brings more than a decade and a half of sales experience to our expanded global commercial team,' said Silvio Cavaceppi, vice president of business development and marketing. 'Sean is well respected in the power and industrial sectors in the region - particularly Australia. With those established relationships and his strong business development background, Sean will play a valuable role as we grow our presence in the Asia Pacific region.'

Before joining APR Energy, Hughes served as Australia business development manager for Mitsubishi Corporation's global environment, infrastructure and machinery group, delivering high-value projects to the power generation, mining and rail transportation sectors. Earlier, Hughes was business development manager at IBL Australia and a finance industry recruiting consultant in Tokyo.
