ROAD TOWN, Virgin Islands, British (AP) _ AquaVenture Holdings Ltd. (WAAS) on Thursday reported a loss of $7 million in its fourth quarter.

The Road Town, Virgin Islands, British-based company said it had a loss of 22 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 12 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 17 cents per share.

The provider of filtered water systems and related services posted revenue of $52.6 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $49.5 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $20.1 million, or 69 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $203.5 million.

AquaVenture shares have dropped slightly since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $27, an increase of 33% in the last 12 months.
