Arrow's Managing Director, Operations and Asset Servicing, takes non-executive role on debt collection trade association

Arrow Global Group plc ('Arrow', and together with its subsidiaries the 'Group'), a leading European investor and alternative asset manager in non-performing and non-core loan portfolios and real estate assets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Appleby to the Board of the Credit Services Association - the trade association for participants in the debt collection industry.

Jim Appleby, currently Managing Director, Operations and Asset Servicing, UK and Netherlands at Arrow Global, was chosen for his extensive experience in the European financial services sector and specifically, his commitment to and expertise in the banking and debt collection sub-sectors.

The Credit Services Association (CSA) is the only National Trade Association in the UK for organisations active in the debt collection and debt purchase industry. The Association, which has a history dating back to 1906, has over 250 member companies which represent 90% of the industry, and employ 11,000 people. As the voice of the collections industry, its vision is to build confidence in debt collection by making the entire process clear, easy to understand and less stressful for all those involved.

Jim joins the CSA Board alongside Kathryn Morgan of Lowell Financial.

Welcoming Jim to the Board, Tom Chandos, CSA Chairman, said: 'In welcoming Kathryn and James as new non-executive directors to the CSA, I want to pay tribute to David Sheridan, Dr David Hutchinson and Stewart Hamilton for their time and service as they leave the Association Board. As the trade body for the collections and debt purchase sector we are fortunate to have such a breadth of representation to ensure that we can promote excellence in standards and culture across the industry, share best practice and make our voice heard across stakeholders and policy-makers.'

Commenting on his appointment, Jim Appleby, said: 'Having worked so closely with credit for so many years, I fully appreciate the crucial role it plays in society. Enabling responsible access to credit is essential, particularly as our economy emerges from this unprecedented period of economic disruption and consumer confidence returns. I look forward to working as part of the CSA.'
