ASA International Group PLC announced that Mr. Chris Lowhas been appointed on 12 December 2022 to the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 February 2023. Mr. Lowis scheduled to become a member of the Audit and Risk Committee, the Remuneration Committee and the Independent Directors Committee. Mr. Low is a citizen of the United Kingdom and presently is I&M Group Plc's Regional Director for its East Africa businesses (Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Mauritius), based in Nairobi.

Also,he advises a number of FinTech start-ups in Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria,and is on the Board of the Scottish African Business Association. In addition, he is an Investment Committee member of JPIN Global Ltd. and the Zephyr Acorn Fund, both investors in early-stage impact companies. With over 30 years in international financial services, risk management and digital transformation,Mr Lowhas specialised in emerging markets, working across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

He was the GCEO for Letshego Holdings PLC from 2013 until 2018 and also worked before that as the Deputy CEO National Bank of Kuwait, International Banking Division. Other roles have included CEO and other senior executive positions with Standard Chartered Plc in the UK, Asia and Africa, specifically in the Philippines,India, East Africa/Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, and with Goldman Sachs in London. Additionally, he has advised the UK Government's Financial and Professional Services Sector Team (Department of International Trade) on strategies for engaging with the UK banking sector to promote trade and investment.
