Athenex, Inc. Announces Resignation of Randoll Sze as CFO, Effective August 13, 2021

On July 30, 2021, Randoll Sze, Athenex, Inc.’s Chief Financial Officer and the principal financial and accounting officer, notified the Company of his decision to step down effective August 13, 2021. Mr. Steven Adams, the company’s current Corporate Controller, will take on the role of Interim Chief Accounting Officer until a permanent CFO is appointed.

Athenex, Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. The Company is focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of next-generation products for the treatment of cancer. The Company's segments include Oncology Innovation Platform and Commercial Platform. The Oncology Innovation Platform is engaged in research and development of its drugs. The Commercial Platform is focused on the sales and marketing of its specialty drugs and the market development of its drugs. Its clinical pipeline in the Oncology Innovation Platform is derived from its technologies: Cell Therapy, based on natural killer T (NKT) cells, and Orascovery, based on a P-glycoprotein pump inhibitor. Its product candidates include KUR-501, KUR-502, and KUR-503. KUR-501 is an autologous product in which NKT cells are engineered with a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting disialoganglioside (GD2).
