AVTOVAZ OAO During the development of LADA XRAY Cross, a full cycle of road and laboratory tests was carried out. 80 cars were involved in tests for reliability, safety, stability and drivability, and climatic comfort, as well as for compliance with the regulatory requirements in effect within Russia. Tests of LADA XRAY Cross were held on the territory of Russia, including the North tests that have been conducted in Surgut and the South ones - in Sochi. The body parts painted in the mass were tested in a special manner: they were tested for resistance to burnout, damage, gasoline ingress.
The first showing of the serial LADA XRAY Cross was at the MIAS-2018. Compact urban crossover got a new style, better comfort level and off-road capability. Thanks to the installation of new tires and longer springs, the ground clearance was increased from 195 mm to 215 mm, and the subframe of the power unit was reinforced. New ESC settings have been developed for LADA XRAY Cross. Special joystick LADA Ride Select on the instrument panel allows to switch on the algorithms to overcome snow, sand and dirt, as well as sports mode. For dynamic and safe driving LADA XRAY Cross is equipped with rear disc brakes and a new EPS providing high-quality and convenient car control (the number of steering wheel turns between end positions is reduced from 3.3 to 2.9). Special attention in the development of LADA XRAY Cross was paid to a comfort. A space for rear seat passengers was increased in the new crossover, as well as heated and reach adjustable steering wheel was installed and new front seats with the developed lateral support were designed.
