FABIO MASSIMO GENOVESE APPOINTED AS BANCA CARIGE GROUP'S

NEW CFO

Genoa, 21 December 2018 - The Banca Carige Group appoints Fabio Massimo Genovese to serve as the Bank's Chief Financial Officer.

The new manager will join Banca Carige in January 2019. Former Managing Director of the second largest Chinese investment bank, Haitong Bank London, where he held the position of Global Head of Relationships with Financial Institutions, Fabio Massimo Genovese joins Carige boasting a thirty-year long work experience in Investment Banking with a focus on financial customers (Banks, Insurance and Asset Management Companies).

His professional career unfolded in several positions of growing responsibility at institutions of primary international standing, such as JP Morgan, UBS, Lehman, Nomura, Haitong Securities, where he dealt with all aspects involved in strategic finance: placement of debt securities, securitisations, M&As, funding deals and relations with international investors.

From 2012 to 2015 Mr. Genovese served as an Independent Member of the Board of Directors and Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee at Banca Generali.

Mr. Genovese takes over from the outgoing CFO, Andrea Soro, who has decided to pursue new professional opportunities Banca Carige wishes him all the best for his future professional endeavours.
