Amalgamated Investments SICAV p.l.c. entered into a preliminary agreement to acquire 10.001% stake in Bank of Valletta p.l.c. from UniCredit S.p.A.

Bank of Valletta p.l.c. (the Bank) is engaged in the banking, financial, and investment services business. The Bank operates through five segments: Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Business Banking, Treasury, and Associates and Others. The Retail Banking segment includes loan products, cards, payment, and other transactions for all client segments of the Bank. It also includes all deposit products for non-corporate and non-institutional client segments, Internet/mobile banking activities, and all Bank retail branch operations. The Wealth Management segment includes discretionary advisory and wealth management services, insurance and stock broking services, asset and fund management, prestige, and private banking. The Business Banking segment consists of financing and business deposit products for all business client segments including business and corporate centers. The Treasury segment includes proprietary investments, derivatives, and other investments.
