BG : Interim report of Senate Select Committee on Unconventional Gas Mining

QGC notes the release of the interim report of the Senate Select Committee on Unconventional Gas Mining.

We support the view of the majority of the members of the Senate committee that a properly regulated unconventional gas industry does not threaten the environment or public health.

QGC also notes the Government Senators' view that well-managed unconventional gas has an exciting future providing a significant contribution to the Australian economy through vital energy supply and many meaningful and well-paid jobs.
