Blue Star Helium Ltd (ASX:BNL, OTC:BSNLF) CEO Trent Spry tells Proactive the company’s initial production well, BBB #33, at the Voyager Project in Colorado, USA, is scheduled to spud in the week commencing November 27. Drilling contractor, Hydro Resources Rocky Mountain Inc, has advised that it will spud BBB #33 following the completion of their current job. Final site works are being undertaken and a spudder rig will be used to set the surface conductor in preparation for arrival of the main drill rig. Drilling operations are expected to take six to 10 days to reach planned total depth (TD) of drilling. The well will be wireline logged at TD for two days after which it will be flow and pressure tested for five days.

Spry said: “I am looking forward to being in the field to oversee the drilling of our first production well.

"It is an exciting time for Blue Star as we await not only the results of this first production well but also the final drilling approvals for an additional four helium production wells that can be tied into our first helium production facility operated by IACX.

“These further approvals will bring our initial production drilling inventory to six wells and the flexibility to optimise drilling of the discovered resource at Voyager with the BBB #33 well being the first.”
