14:13 ET -- Boeing is one of the most mentioned companies in the U.S. across all news items in the past 12 hours, according to Factiva data. The Federal Aviation Administration has opened a new investigation into Boeing after the jet maker disclosed employees may have skipped some inspections on 787 Dreamliners and falsified records. The FAA said Boeing notified them in April that it may not have completed required inspections on certain Dreamliners. The inspections were related to the reduction of electrical hazards near aircraft fuel tanks and about 450 Dreamliners could be affected, people familiar with the matter said. Also, the launch of the Boeing spacecraft Starliner was postponed Monday after concerns emerged with a component on the rocket set to propel it into space. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva.
