Brewin Dolphin has appointed Eddie Clarke as chief executive of its Irish arm, as its current boss Matt Minch is set to retire. The appointment comes after Brewin bought Investec’s Irish wealth arm Clarke was previously head of the Irish wealth management business at Investec, and joined Brewin in November last year before the business was integrated. Current Irish CEO Minch is stepping down from his role after 25 years with the firm. He joined Brewin in 2011 through its acquisition of Tilman,where he had been a founding director since 1995, and took the top job four years later in 2015. He will remain with the company to look after his clients before retiring at a later date. Nicol himself announced his retirement in January after seven years in the chief executive role. He will step down in June and be replaced by director Robin Beer.
