Joël Nadeau, Senior Vice President of Canam-Buildings, proudly accepted his appointment to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Steel Plus Network (SPN), a steel industry organization that works to leverage the collective buying power of its members.

The SPN Purchasing Program enables member companies big and small to take advantage of volume discounts, obtain enhanced services and strengthen their business ties. SPN also assists its members by providing operational support and consulting services in the area of products, equipment, training and other activities.

The new Chairman of the Board made the following point: 'SPN member fabricators face the same challenges today as they did when the organization was first created, i.e. increasing profitability, maintaining a steady workload, improving manufacturing efficiency, receiving shop drawings promptly and continued access to qualified personnel in order to ensure the perennity of their business activities. Canam is highly attentive to the needs of its customers, and given that SPN members form part of our established clientele, I've accepted this role so that I may contribute to the development of solutions that will help them meet these ongoing challenges.'

Joël Nadeau joined Canam Group in 1985, 25 years of which were spent in the sales division, working his way up from representative to the vice presidency of Canam-Buildings.
