BANK OF THE CASCADES NAMES ROB PEREZ IDAHO REGION PRESIDENT

BOISE, ID, MARCH 3, 2016 - Bank of the Cascades, a Northwest-focused bank serving communities across Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, has named Rob Perez as Idaho Region President. One of the Treasure Valley's most respected commercial bankers and community leaders, Perez will oversee Bank of the Cascades delivery of commercial and business lending as well as a network of 14 retail branches across the Boise/Treasure Valley region. Bank of the Cascades has the number one community bank market share in the region and is a leading commercial and small business lender across the Northwest.

"Bank of the Cascades could not have found a more impressive and qualified person to help us become the go-to bank for Treasure Valley businesses," said Terry Zink, President and CEO of Cascade Bancorp, the parent company of Bank of the Cascades. "In addition to being an outstanding banker with a proven record of successfully leading organizational growth, Rob is a well-known community leader whose depth and breadth of local relationships and experience will benefit our customers."

Perez brings more than 37 years of banking experience to his new position. Following a successful 30-year career in key leadership roles at U.S. Bank focused on building commercial lending teams in Idaho, Utah, Washington, and Nevada, Perez founded Western Capital Bank (now Northwest Bank), where he served until joining Bank of the Cascades. Under Perez's leadership, the bank achieved profitability within 18 months of beginning operation and grew into a nearly half of a billion financial institution that provides a full range of commercial banking products and services.

"I am honored to join Bank of the Cascades and be associated with a company which has demonstrated such a significant commitment to the Treasure Valley. Bank of the Cascades is a banking franchise uniquely positioned to expand market share and become the Valley's premier community bank" said Perez. "I look forward to expanding the outreach of our organization, and delivering credit and relationship banking services to businesses and individuals across the region. We have the team that can get the job done for commercial and local businesses. Furthermore, it's an opportunity to work together with our customers to make a difference for our communities as we keep their money working right here in our local communities."

Throughout his career, Perez has also been active in the greater Boise business community, holding prior or current leadership roles with the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, Arid Club, City Club of Boise, Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry, Urban Land Institute, Boise State University Foundation, Boise State University College of Business and Economics Advisory Council, Capital City Kiwanis, Idaho Community Reinvestment Corporation and the Greater Boise Auditorium District.

According to Chip Reeves, President of Bank of the Cascades, the addition of Perez fits the bank's priority to become a catalyst for prosperity in the communities it serves. "At Bank of the Cascades, we look for people who are both outstanding professionals and who also share our commitment to strengthening local communities. Rob's professional success and his generous involvement in organizations making a difference in Southwest Idaho will prove tremendous assets as he helps Bank of the Cascades grow our business and enhance our reputation as a trusted financial and community partner."

Dennis Johnson, Cascade Bancorp Director and President & CEO of United Heritage Financial Group headquartered in Meridian commented, "Rob is a great choice as a leader in the Treasure Valley and successor upon the recent retirement of Mike Mooney. His experience serving the commercial and business financing needs of this area provide continued

opportunity for Bank of the Cascades to make a real difference in our communities. Under Rob's leadership, I believe our region will be well served by this outstanding business bank and premier community bank in Southwest Idaho."

In 2014, Bank of the Cascades acquired Nampa-based Home Federal Bank, nearly doubling its asset size and expanding its presence across the Treasure Valley and Southwest Idaho. The bank currently has retail branches in Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Emmett, Fruitland, Garden City, Kuna, Meridian and Nampa, and consistently ranks as one of Idaho's top small business lenders. The bank also hosts a semi-annual nonprofit education breakfast that brings more than 200 Treasure Valley business, public and nonprofit leaders together to build mutually beneficial partnerships.
