COMPASS has seen an unprecedented growth with more than 100 participants, including over 20 speakers this year. COMPASS provides great opportunity for networking, exchanging ideas and discussing the future of the semiconductor industry with top global industry leaders. We are thrilled with this year's participation and the quality of sessions presented. A big thank you to all of our attendees and presenters!

COMPASS attracted a diverse range of visitors from across a variety of high-tech companies. This year's theme 'Conquering Tomorrow's Test Challenges' truly reflected the presentations in all sessions. With six application-focused tracks, including high-power applications, RF/mmW probing, calibration, production test, advanced test challenges and optoelectronics/photonics, we offered a broad range of topics that highly resonated with our participants.

For the first time in COMPASS history, we got the chance to host our attendees in beautiful Portland. This allowed our customers to visit our Demo Lab and attend six on-site live equipment demonstrations.

Analog Device's keynote, 'Capex to Opex Economics within the Internet of Things,' was very well received. It was interesting to learn about Analog Device's Intelligent Factory experiment and get an overview of the White House's Global Connect Initiative 2020.

The second-day featured talk by Coriant on silicon photonics test challenges provided a look at the future of this emerging technology.

The participants enjoyed the PDX Haunted Brewery Tour, although they got rained on at the end (but that's a part of Portland experience!). After the tour, participants enjoyed dinner at Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steak house. The event closed with a Happy Hour, where guests stayed well into the evening to enjoy talking shop and connecting.

Overall, COMPASS 2016 provided yet another excellent opportunity for FormFactor and Cascade Microtech equipment users and employees, as well as solution partners, to network and share their knowledge and best practices. We look forward to COMPASS 2017.
