TransContainer of Delo Group together with its European partner Forwardis arranged the first dispatch of a train loaded with Chinese cargoes to France via Svisloch - Siemianowka crossing at Belarus - Poland border.

50 containers loaded with consumer goods were transported from Chinese city of Shijiazhuang (Hebei province) to Paris. The route passed through Mongolia via Zamyn-Uud and Naushki border crossings, further via Transsiberian railway and Belarus to Svisloch - Siemianowka crossing. The containers were transshipped at Hryzanow terminal and made their way to Paris by 1435 gauge. The total transit time is 24 days.

TransContainer provided its own flatcars and made arrangements for transportation from Mongolia to Poland via 1520 gauge. Forwardis arranged the European part of the route. The transportation and interaction between the parties involved was coordinated by TransContainer Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of TransContainer.

"Under the circumstances of Brest - Malaszewicze border crossing congestion the development of the route via Svisloch - Siemianowka border crossing will become a good opportunity for diversification of the existing ones. We schedule to dispatch the second train in December, after that we will get the feedback from our customers and consider the possibility of arranging this service on a regular basis," said Vladimir Khlutkov, business development director for Asia-Pacific in TransContainer.

In order to diversify cargo delivery routes to Europe TransContainer launched a new regular multimodal service from Republic of Korea to Poland via Far East and Ukraine this November and another regular service from Asia-Pacific countries to Europe via port of Kaliningrad in September.
