Recently, a significant milestone was achieved for the Zhangzhou-Shantou High-Speed Railway as CRCC kicked off the construction of the monumental Raoping South Station Bridge.

This event marks a pivotal moment, propelling the project into its major construction phase.

Spanning the provinces of Fujian and Guangdong, the Zhangzhou-Shantou line is set to be the first direct high-speed rail link between the two, promising to streamline travel across the region. It originated from Zhangzhou, part of the Fuzhou-Xiamen rail line, and extended to Shantou in Guangdong. This ambitious project stretches around 175 kilometers with a design speed of 350 km/h and features six stations along the way. The Guangdong section, about 27 kilometers in length, involves the construction of 4 bridges totaling around 22.9 kilometers, as well as tunnels, roadbeds, and 1 station. Additionally, CRCC undertakes the tasks of 537 box girder manufacturing and transportation frameworks and 55.45 kilometers of ballastless track laying.

The construction of the Raoping South Station Grand Bridge, a colossal 9537 meters in length, underscores the challenging nature of this project. Nestled in Raoping County, Chaozhou City, Guangdong, the bridge navigates complex terrain, dense water networks, and multiple river and road crossings, highlighting the rigorous safety, organizational, and environmental standards the project adheres to. Since construction began on February 4, nearly 600 workers have been tirelessly pushing forward, achieving multiple firsts across the line: the first to complete line construction, the first to pass the central laboratory acceptance, the first to pass the concrete centralized mixing station acceptance, laying a solid foundation for the smooth drilling of the first bridge pile foundation of the line.

Embracing the future, the project leverages cutting-edge intelligent construction techniques, BIM technology, and digital management systems, from smart steel reinforcement processing to digital mix plant operations. These innovations enhance the efficiency and quality of construction and ensure real-time tracking and management of materials and production, embodying a leap toward intelligent infrastructure development.

Upon completion, the Zhangzhou-Shantou High-Speed Railway will connect seamlessly with the Fuzhou-Xiamen and Guangzhou-Shantou lines, enriching the regional transportation network. This is more than just a railway; it's a bridge to closer community ties, smoother travel, and accelerated regional growth, setting a new benchmark for modern transport solutions.

China Railway Construction Corporation Limited ('CRCC') was solely established by China Railway Construction Corporation on November 5th, 2007 in Beijing, and is now a mega size construction corporation under the administration of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council of China (SASAC).
