On the morning of July 12, Moscow local time, the first tunnel of the large-diameter shield construction project in the east section of the third interchange loop of Moscow Metro constructed by CRCC was cut through, marking the successful cut-through of the first large-diameter shield construction tunnel of Chinese enterprises in Europe.

The total length of the project line is 2.677 km. During the implementation of the project, a slag transportation system with a 22-storey super storage belt bin was also introduced, bringing Chinese equipment into the European market. The project was constructed with 'Victory', a 10.88m large-diameter shield machine independently developed by CRCC, currently the largest diameter shield machine exported to Europe from China. It is tailor-made for construction in the cold winter environment of Russia, and can tunnel in a low temperature environment of -30℃.

During the construction period, the project department made reference to the metro construction experience of China and Russia, and organized the preparation of a special safety technical plan for construction to match the geological conditions and mechanical performance of the large shield machine. Zero settlement was achieved in the underneath passing of the Kolomenskoye Manor, an ancient wooden building from the 15th century in Moscow; the use of rubber wheel locomotives to transport auxiliary materials for tunnel construction effectively avoided the risk of slipping accidents caused by excessive design gradients; the highest monthly tunneling mileage reached 433.8m thanks to the optimized construction organization mode. In an active response to the epidemic overseas, the project department formulated scientific epidemic prevention measures. Body temperature measurements were taken twice a day for construction personnel on site, ventilation and disinfection in the tunnel were enhanced, and regular nucleic acid tests were organized to ensure the health and safety of project staff.
