CSCEC constructed the 7,000 Social Housing Units project in the Maldives, alleviating housing pressure in the country.

7,000 Social Housing Units project

The Maldives is situated in the golden waters of South Asia, serving as a crucial point on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. The project is located in the Hulhumalé Phase II, covering a total construction area of 468,000 square meters with a total building height of 74.95 meters. It is the largest affordable housing project in the Maldives, fulfilling the long-standing dream of local residents for affordable housing. CSCEC is involved in the construction of 7,000 units, covering a total construction area of 211,700 square meters.

With over one-third of the population residing in the capital city of Malé, upon the completion of the project, the population density in Malé is expected to decrease from 9.33 people per square kilometer to 7.33 people per square kilometer. This significant reduction greatly alleviates housing pressure in the Maldives and promotes local economic and social development.
