PINEVILLE, La., July 27, 2015 - It is now easier to track power restoration efforts with Cleco's new interactive outage map located on the company's website. The easy-to-use map provides customers with information on restoration efforts by parish, zip code and street address.

"When power outages occur, our customers need timely information so they can make informed decisions for their families and businesses," said Anthony Bunting, vice president of transmission and distribution operations. "Cleco's new interactive outage map gives customers access to real-time power restoration updates and peace of mind after a storm."

Outages are indicated with triangular icons. Visitors can zoom to access the number of customers affected and view an estimated time for power restoration, if known. Customers also can set personal preferences and see current weather impacting the state. The online map updates every five minutes.

Visitors to Cleco's online storm center can find helpful tips on reporting an outage and important information about severe weather. In addition to tracking storm restoration efforts online, Cleco also offers MyAccount, a convenient tool for customers to report outages, pay bills, and send and receive text messages regarding their electric service.

The new outage map is accessible using a standard Web browser from a laptop or desktop computer. It also is available on most hand-held devices.
