Mr Rod Campbell Appointed as Executive Director of Cleveland Mining
Cleveland Mining Company Ltd. (ASX: CDG) is pleased to announce that Mr Rod Campbell will join the Board of Cleveland Mining as Executive Director - Commercial, effective immediately. Mr Campbell will manage the finance, investor relations and treasury functions at Cleveland.
Mr Campbell has worked with the Company since March this year, originally engaged as an adviser to assist with the Company's acquisitions program. He has been a valuable team member, supporting management to raise capital and assisting with the restructure of the Australian operations.
Mr Campbell brings extensive corporate and financing experience to the Board. He held senior management positions with Fortescue Metals Group Ltd from 2004 until 2012, during which he was involved in a number of high-profile debt raising transactions to facilitate the development of Fortescue's mine, port and rail infrastructure. He was Fortescue's Company Secretary over those years with extensive involvement across all areas of corporate governance. From 2010 to 2012 he was also Fortescue's Head of Investor Relations where he built a broad network across both the domestic and international resource investment communities.
Prior to working with Fortescue, Mr Campbell was State Manager Western Australia of Rabobank Australia Ltd and before that was a Senior Manager with State Bank NSW Ltd. Mr Campbell holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from the University of New England and a Diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia.
The Board of Directors comprises Mr Russell Scrimshaw (Non-Executive Chairman), Mr Jim Williams (Non-Executive Director), Mr David Mendelawitz (Managing Director) and Mr Rod Campbell (Executive Director - Commercial).
