Kerpen. Computacenter has announced that Bernd Charpentier will become Country Head of Computacenter Germany. On 1 January 2024, he will take over from Reiner Louis, who has led Computacenter's global Professional Services organisation since the beginning of 2023. The handover will gradually take place over the course of the year.

Bernd Charpentier has worked for Computacenter for over 25 years, starting as a sales trainee. After holding various sales positions in account management as well as in specialist sales for data center, IT workplace, and in the Managed Services area, Bernd Charpentier was appointed Sector Director West and a member of the German Management Board in 2016. Since the beginning of 2022, he has been Director of Service Management and responsible for all services provided in Germany.

Reiner Louis commented

"I'm delighted that Bernd is stepping into this role. Given his long history with Computacenter he knows our business inside out and is well connected across the Group. In addition, his experience in both Sales and Service Management makes him the perfect candidate to lead and develop our German business."

Reiner Louis takes on global responsibility

Reiner Louis has been responsible for developing Computacenter's Group-wide Professional Services business since the beginning of the year. As part of a realignment, the countries' service areas and the portfolio development for Computacenter's project and consulting business will be combined into one globally operating Group unit. The aim is to reflect the increasing internationalisation of the business and to secure further growth.
