Electricity supply offering gives customers the option to support renewable energy resources

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (July 17, 2013) - Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. (Constellation), a leading competitive energy supplier and business unit of Exelon (NYSE: EXC), today announced that it has been selected to supply an estimated 9,000 eligible residents and small commercial customers in 20 Illinois communities with fixed-cost electricity following a competitive bidding process under the state's electricity choice aggregation program.

Illinois communities participating in the aggregation program include: Assumption, Bluffs, Camp Point, Cass County, Chapin, Franklin, Hamilton, Liberty, Loraine, Manchester, Morgan County, Murrayville, Naples, Riverside Township, Scott County, Sidney, Toledo, Valier, Winchester and Woodson.

By receiving electricity supply from Constellation, Illinois residents have the option to match up to 100 percent of their electricity use with renewable energy through the purchase renewable energy certificates.

Constellation's 18-month term rate is 4.203 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) and 4.300 cents per kWh with the purchase of renewable energy certificates.* Electric service under the newly negotiated rates is scheduled to begin as early as September 2013.

Constellation will work with community officials to notify all eligible customers of theelectric supply rate, terms and conditions, and their right to opt-out of the program. Customers will have the right to opt-out of the aggregation program without penalty and continue to receive Ameren-purchased electricity. Customers who do not opt-out can leave the program at any time within the 18-month term without penalty.
