NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO (August 21, 2013) - New Philadelphia, Ohio has renewed an agreement with Constellation, a business unit of Exelon and a longtime competitive energy provider in Ohio, to supply residents and small businesses with low-cost natural gas supply following a competitive bidding process under the state's natural gas governmental aggregation program.

The competitive rate under the new agreement is $4.57/Mcf for the term of June 2013 through November 2013 and $4.69/Mcf for the term of December 2013 through November 2014.*

"At a time when energy prices are fluctuating Constellation's natural gas supply program provides the community with price certainty," said New Philadelphia Mayor Mike Taylor. "Existing customers will automatically receive the new pricing."

Residents and small businesses in New Philadelphia are eligible to participate in the program. Constellation will work with the New Philadelphia officials to notify potential customers via letter of the gas supply rate, terms and conditions of the agreement. Enrollment ends September 30, 2013 for December 2013 billing.

"We're proud that New Philadelphia continues to rely on Constellation for competitive energy supply and dedicated customer service," said Bruce Stewart, chief marketing officer for Constellation. "In Ohio, and states nationwide embracing competition in energy supply, the market continues to deliver exceptional value and is helping customers lower their natural gas and electricity bills."

"Our goal is to provide New Philadelphia with a competitive energy rate," said Thomas Bellish, president for Buckeye Energy Brokers. "In working closely with city officials, we've identified the best pricing currently available for residents."
