CoreCivic has been named one of America's Most Responsible Companies by Newsweek, making its inaugural appearance on the 2021 list published in November. Just 399 selections were made from 2,000 national public companies. Honorees were measured based on their environment, social and governance (ESG) work and corporate responsibility efforts. CoreCivic was ranked No. 320.
"We are honored to be included among this esteemed group of organizations, and proud of the important ESG work we've been doing for more than three years," said Damon Hininger, president and CEO of CoreCivic. "As the first company in our industry to publish an ESG Report back in 2018, this designation reflects our ongoing commitment to better the public good in responsible and meaningful ways."
Newsweek's America's Most Responsible Companies list is published annually in partnership with Statista, a leading global provider of market and consumer data.
