Global Release of Predictive Recommendations and Predictive Email: Demandware has globally launched the company’s Predictive Recommendations and Predictive Email capabilities on the Demandware Commerce Cloud. Demandware Predictive Recommendations leverages cutting-edge data science to deliver product recommendations that create uniquely personalized site experiences, maximizing conversion rates and order value while strengthening the relationship between the customer and the brand.

Demandware Predictive Email works in concert with the retailers’ email solution of choice and utilizes the Demandware predictive intelligence engine to choose the optimal content for each email recipient at the moment of email open, maximizing repeat shopping visits and conversion.

Business User Empowerment

Visual merchandising: Newly introduced merchandising enhancements to the Demandware Commerce Cloud enable merchants to easily drag and drop products within category grids and provide advanced search and filter capabilities within products and categories, empowering merchants to create more compelling consumer experiences. Additionally, new capabilities to support attribute-based merchandising facilitate assortment planning and provide improved personalization avenues for the merchant.

Enhancements to Digital Store Solution: Enhancements delivered to the Demandware Digital Store Solution include predictive recommendations, better support for video, localized reference storefronts, the option for ordered products to be delivered to the store as an alternative to the consumer’s home and the ability for store associates to access consumers’ online wish lists. These enhancements improve the knowledge and efficiency of store associates, enabling them to better service shoppers in the store.

Distributed Commerce

Launch of Distributed Commerce: In 2015 Demandware launched its strategy to extend retailers’ ability to reach consumers and enable them to buy wherever, whenever and however they shop. Today, Demandware has global strategic partnerships with Pinterest and Salesforce.com to enable all Demandware clients to sell to consumers using “buy now” buttons in social and service channels. The integration enables a native, secure mobile checkout experience from the “buy now” application, and uses the underlying commerce functionality of the Demandware Commerce Cloud to capture and process orders. This initiative empowers Demandware clients to sell products on new digital channels without losing connection to a central commerce platform.

Platform Scalability, Reliability and Security

Embedded Content Delivery Network (CDN) Service: Demandware has launched an embedded CDN in the Demandware Commerce Cloud for content acceleration and delivery services. With an unprecedented level of speed and an additional level of DDoS protection, this new capability will provide Demandware clients with a new, full breadth CDN service.

Increased Platform Performance: Demandware has introduced new platform capabilities that further optimize the order processing time for flash sales or other high volume events. These enhancements have been part of an ongoing expansion of the overall transaction processing capacity of the Demandware Commerce Cloud as the company continues to invest in expanding its global capacity with delivery locations across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Open Architecture

Development Platform Enhancements: Demandware has recently delivered a standards-based development model and open development tools for added flexibility and better developer efficiency.
