Ghent, 8 March 2012 - Devgen nv (Euronext Brussels: DEVG), an agro-biotech company developing and commercializing hybrid seeds and crop protection solutions, today provides a business update and its results for the twelve month period ending 31st December 2011. During this period, Devgen has reached a key milestone in the development of its Next Generation Hybrid Rice seeds (NGHRTM), broadened its current offering of hybrid seeds, improved its market access and strengthened its balance sheet. Devgen believes the company is well placed to deliver on its goal of shaping the field of hybrid rice in India and Southeast Asia, thus helping farmers meet the productivity increases needed to grow more food on less land using less water, labor and agrochemicals.
