Dear Doğan Group Members,

We are deeply saddened by the earthquakes that struck Kahramanmaraş and heavily affected 10 provinces in the region. Our losses number in the thousands, with many more wounded. I wish God's mercy upon those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to the injured. Some of our colleagues are still unable to reach their families, or have relatives who are still unaccounted for. We are hoping for good news, and we are ready to provide any support they might need.

Citizens in the disaster zone are struggling with highly challenging conditions, with the trauma of the event compounded by adverse weather and the inability to meet urgent needs. Since the first hours of the disaster, the entirety of Doğan Holding, Doğan Group Companies and the Aydın Doğan Foundation has mobilized its resources to support survivors along the five main categories.

The highly experienced personnel of Gümüştaş Maden and a leased crane are deployed to Adıyaman to support search and rescue operations. Doğan Holding deployed a second crane to Iskenderun.

The entire region is struggling with a severe fuel shortage. To alleviate this, Aytemiz sent seven fuel tankers from Marmara, Black Sea, and Central Anatolia regions, and resupplied service stations whose stocks are running low. Our fuel tankers will also provide fuel directly to hospitals, ambulances, and generators being used by public services.

The breakdown of communications is a priority challenge in times of disaster. KAREL Elektronik has deployed 740 personnel, 200 vehicles and 1,500 generators to the earthquake-stricken region in order to repair the base station network of Turkcell and Vodafone in the 10 provinces.

Our Holding and Group Companies have sent urgent humanitarian aid to the region in the form of clothing, blankets, diapers and water among others. One of our Group companies, Hepsiburada, has sent two trailer trucks of urgent aid material and participated in the "Earthquake Mobilization Effort" launched by the Ministry of Trade, delivering basic necessities to earthquake victims without any commercial gain and supporting aid organizations such as AKUT, Ahbap, AFAD, and the Turkish Red Crescent with digital donation cards.

A disaster of such magnitude naturally brings about food supply shortages. To overcome this, we have collaborated with our supplier Sodexo to establish a field kitchen capable of feeding 1,000 people a day.

Ditaş has allocated the full capacity of its industrial-scale bakery in its Niğde factory to produce bread for the disaster-affected region.

Shelter is another urgent need for earthquake victims who have lost their homes. Doğan Holding has commenced a project to setup container housing in Hatay. Meanwhile, Hepsi Emlak has launched a special initiative titled "Dostluk Çatısı" to help earthquake victims find shelter with volunteers who welcome them in their homes.

Employees of Doğan Group have volunteered to take part in the relief effort, and are working at the Istanbul headquarters of the Needs Map.

Meanwhile, the Aydın Doğan Foundation has reached out to girls' dormitories, scholarship students and their families in the region in order to offer aid for their urgent needs. The Foundation has also launched efforts to offer psychological rehabilitation and shelter to the region.

In addition to all of these, our companies have joined forces to create an "Earthquake Aid Fund" to meet longer-term needs of survivors.

As always, Doğan Group is committed to supporting our nation and our people. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our colleagues and our volunteers who have selflessly taken action and joined the relief efforts in the immediate aftermath of the event.
