DF Calderería Pesada signs contract with Qatar Petroleum

The contract is to manufacture two heat exchangers for the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit at the Mesaieed Refinery, close to Doha

The project will be carried out in 2021

Monday, 28 September 2020. Duro Felguera, a Spanish company specializing in the delivery of turnkey projects and the provision of specialized services in the energy, mining & handling and oil & gas sectors, via its subsidiary DF Calderería Pesada (DFCP), has signed a contract with Qatar Petroleum (QP) to manufacture two new Catalyst Coolers for the Refinery in Mesaieed, near Doha.

The equipment is two heat exchangers for the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit at the Refinery. The project includes the design, complete manufacture, testing and delivery to the container plant, and will be carried out in 2021.

The manufacture of these two pieces of equipment falls within the collaboration agreement between QP and Duro Felguera that has been in force since the main equipment for the FCCU was supplied in 2001.
