Duro Felguera wins new contract with Petronor at refinery in Muskiz

Duro Felguera has won a major contract at the Petronor refinery in Muskiz (Vizcaya) for the operation and maintenance of its coke and sulphur plant.

Wednesday, 14 October 2020. Duro Felguera, a Spanish company specializing in the delivery of turnkey projects and the provision of specialized services in the energy, mining & handling and oil & gas sectors, has won a new contract.

The new contract consists of the operation and maintenance of the coke and sulphur plant at the Petronor refinery in Muskiz (Vizcaya). The facility was built by Duro Felguera, through its Mining and Handling division, in 2011.

Under this new contract Duro Felguera will carry out the tasks deriving from the operation and maintenance of the coke and sulphur plant. The foreseeable duration of the contract is until July 2023. Duro Felguera has detailed knowledge of this type of facility, thanks to both its experience in the engineering and construction of these plants, and also to the years in which it has operated and maintained them in different refineries, including the Petronor refinery in Muskiz.

This major contract means that Duro Felguera continues to grow in the trust of historic customers such as Petronor, while regaining market share in Spain, both of which are key points in fulfilling the company's Strategic Plan.
