ANDOVER, Mass., March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation (Nasdaq: DRCO) today announced that Federal Computer Week (FCW) has named Kathy Perras to its list of top 100 leaders who had the greatest impact on the government community in 2007. The Federal 100 award recognizes individuals from government, industry and academia who significantly influenced how the federal government buys, uses, or manages information technology in the past year.

Kathy Perras was honored by FCW for her leadership in helping to pioneer the rollout of the first newly built, Web-based statewide automated child welfare information system (SACWIS) developed in nearly a decade for the state of Ohio. Perras provided executive oversight for the effort to institute Ohio SACWIS, allowing county children's services agencies to make informed decisions that help to protect and ensure better outcomes for children and provide needed services to their families.

One of the biggest challenges faced by states is monitoring the hundreds of thousands of children in foster care served by child welfare agencies. Ohio faced significant barriers to executing a successful SACWIS including integrating different systems employed across 88 counties, overcoming the cultural shift to information sharing among social services agencies, and complying with Congressional SACWIS mandates and Department of Health and Human Services requirements. Perras' efforts have ultimately made child welfare in Ohio an integrated, uniform process that allows caseworkers to make timely, informed decisions in the best interest of the families and children in their care.

"This award is a reflection of the steadfast teamwork and innovation among our Case Management team and the state of Ohio," said James P. Regan, DRC's chairman, president and CEO. "Kathy's commitment and leadership are models of how industry can play an instrumental role in partnering with government agencies to improve the safety, permanency and well-being of children and families across the nation."

Federal 100 winners were nominated by Federal Computer Week readers and selected by an independent panel of judges. Kathy Perras, along with the other Federal 100 winners, will be honored at the 18th Annual Federal 100 Awards Gala on March 24, 2008, in McLean, Va.
