BOSTON, April 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Michigan Municipal Bond Fund (NYSE MKT: MIW) (the "Fund"), a closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three months ended December 31, 2014. The Fund's fiscal year ends on September 30, 2015.

For the three months ended December 31, 2014, the Fund had net investment income of $297,762 ($0.197 per common share). From this amount, the Fund paid dividends on preferred shares of $3,697 (equal to $0.002 for each common share), resulting in net investment income after the preferred dividends of $294,065, or $0.195 per common share. In comparison, for the three months ended December 31, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $291,127 ($0.192 per common share). From this amount, the Fund paid dividends on preferred shares of $4,117 (equal to $0.003 for each common share), resulting in net investment income after the preferred dividends of $287,010, or $0.189 per common share.

Net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended December 31, 2014 were $375,803 ($0.249 per common share). In comparison, net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended December 31, 2013 were $10,039 ($0.007 per common share).

On December 31, 2014, net assets of the Fund applicable to common shares were $22,705,208. The net asset value per common share on December 31, 2014 was $15.12 based on 1,501,965 common shares outstanding. In comparison, on December 31, 2013, net assets of the Fund applicable to common shares were $19,952,319. The net asset value per common share on December 31, 2013 was $13.18 based on 1,514,065 common shares outstanding.
