New CEO of Empik Sp. z o.o.
On February 2nd, 2015 Mrs Ewa Szmidt-Belcarz is taking the post of Chief Executive Officer in Empik Sp. z o.o. She will replace Mr Olaf Szymanowski, who concluded his cooperation with the company and EM&F Group.
Ewa Szmidt-Belcarz will join Empik with a mission to finalize the ongoing transformation of the company's business model.
Prior to joining Empik, Ewa Szmidt-Belcarz was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where she led Consumer Goods and Retail Practice successfully advising a number of blue chip companies on strategy, commercial transformation and operational improvements in Poland and in the region. She has been elected a global Partner of McKinsey & Company as the first woman in Poland. Prior to McKinsey, she held various commercial positions in the consumer goods companies in Poland, Germany and in the UK. She completed her Master in Management studies at Warsaw School of Economics, CEMS Master in International Management at Warsaw School of Economics and London School of Economics, as well as holds MBA degree from INSEAD in France.
