BOSTON and SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Eversource recently honored the winners of its annualEversource Challengestudent contest during two special ceremonies held at Springfield's Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Boston's Marriott Long Wharf Hotel.

From posters to short stories, persuasive writing to video production, theEversource Challengeinvites Massachusetts students in grades K-12 to showcase their energy knowledge while competing for prizes.

"The
Eversource Challengeis an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge of sustainability and saving energy through various grade-specific projects," said Tilak Subrahmanian, Vice President of Energy Efficiency at Eversource. "We look forward to continuing to grow this program and help raise awareness among Massachusetts youth about the important benefits energy efficiency provides our homes, businesses and planet."

Fifty-seven student winners out of more than 600 statewide entries were recognized at this year's two ceremonies and received Amazon gift cards from Eversource.

Representing 17 cities and towns across the state, the 57 winners included:
