'As we continue to grow our global presence, having Suki on board as a technical industry expert will be pivotal when it comes to cementing our position as drivers of technology development. We are thrilled to welcome Suki on board and look forward to building on our existing success.'

Further to this position, Gill's expertise in the industry is further solidified by her appointment as Chairperson to the MWD/LWD Sub-Committee, as part of the collaborative efforts of the International Association of Drilling contractors (IADC) and International Association of Directional Drilling (IADD) to develop a standardised metric for performance measurement in the directional drilling sector.

Jim Oberkircher, Executive Director, IADD, says:
'The combination of field experience and operations management makes Suki an ideal Chairperson to lead in the development of a common scale for performance measurement. In helping to identify the proper workflow for MWD/LWD, the directional drilling sector will benefit from much needed streamlining which will, in turn result in performance improvement.'

About Enteq Upstream's SABER Tool

The SABER Tool (Steer-At-Bit Enteq Rotary Tool) is a step change in directional drilling technology, developed by Enteq Upstream and based on a concept created by Shell. The ingenuity of the SABER Tool approach lies in the application of proven technologies in novel ways to achieve a sleek, elegant, and mechanically simple design, thereby improving reliability and project uptime versus traditional RSS solutions.

Rather than using pads or plates for geosteering, the SABER Tool uses an internally directed pressure differential system. By removing these external contact points, the tool reduces wear and improves reliability, while also achieving true at-bit steering for the first time. The sleek, plain collar design also allows for a smoother borehole, further improving reliability, uptime and cost efficiency.

Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Enteq Upstream is a proudly independent UK and Houston-based engineering firm world-renowned for its high-temperature (HT) LWD/MWD solutions - expertise that makes the SABER Tool one of the world's only directional drilling designs suitable for HT applications. Enteq Upstream is currently seeking project partners to conduct field trials ahead of full commercialisation.
