Epicor Software Corporation (recently combined with Activant Solutions Inc.), a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, today announced that Rapps Pharmacy has chosen the Epicor Eagle(TM) software platform to be its business management and point-of-sale (POS) solution. Rapps Pharmacy executives selected the Epicor(R) solution to help them automate key business processes and improve retail sales.
Founded in 1940, Rapps Pharmacy is a neighborhood community pharmacy located in Plainfield, N.J. Peter Pogany purchased the store in 1987 and dedicated it to providing the general public, various healthcare facilities and group homes with personalized pharmaceutical and wellness services and low prices. Pogany recently decided to purchase the Eagle(R) solution to help Rapps Pharmacy improve in both of these key areas.
Before selecting the Eagle system, Rapps Pharmacy conducted all of its retail business manually. Sales were rung up on simple cash registers and the store manager spent hours each day tracking inventory levels, making purchasing decisions, placing orders and taking in new shipments. The Eagle software solution will automate and streamline all of these functions. The Eagle solution will give the store manager real-time access to the information needed to make accurate purchasing and inventory decisions in a fraction of the time -- which will allow the manager to focus more attention on employee management and customer service.
