A tax cut agreed as part of a rescue package for struggling regional airline Flybe could be ditched by new chancellor Rishi Sunak. The Telegraph reported that Sunak is against a cut to air passenger duty which his predecessor Sajid Javid backed as part of a rescue deal last month. The airline is still in talks over a taxpayer-funded £100m bridging loan which could go ahead regardless of the decision on the tax.
