Highlights:

* Loganair and Eastern Airways have stepped in to take over Aberdeen based services following the collapse of Flybe.

* From March 16 Loganair will operate routes to Belfast City, Manchester and Birmingham.

* A fourth route to Jersey will start on May 9.

Eastern Airways will operate its own schedule independently including routes at Aberdeen International Airport previously operated on behalf of Flybe.

It has also said it would offer a new route Aberdeen-Birmingham due to start next week.

Managing Director Steve Szalay at Aberdeen International Airport said: 'Loganair and Eastern Airway's decision to step in to operate popular routes at Aberdeen is welcome news on what has been a very challenging day.

'The management team at both airlines have acted decisively in the space of a few hours to put considerable resources in place to take over these important daily services and this should be commended.

'We look forward to seeing both routes back in operation.'
