Eight-Japan Engineering Consultants Inc. Adopts Multiple SAP Solutions

- Focus Systems heads system construction of SAP S/4HANA® Cloud -

Eight-Japan Engineering Consultants Inc. (based in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture; President: Yuji Kotani; "Eight-Japan Engineering") has adopted multiple SAP solutions provided by SAP Japan Co., Ltd. (based in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President Hirofumi Suzuki; "SAP Japan").

Focus Systems Corporation (based in Shinagawa, Tokyo; President: Keiichi Mori; "Focus Systems") was chosen as the systems consulting and installation ERP SIer for this project because of its extensive experience in installing S/4HANA Cloud, the core of SAP's RISE with SAP cloud service. Focus Systems will support the promotion of business process innovation by utilizing SAP Best Practices*¹ to introduce industry-standard models and strengthen competitive areas.

■ DX Promotion in Eight-Japan Engineering

Believing that data-based business management and streamlining of on-site operations are necessary, Eight-Japan Engineering has restructured its management foundations with a new core system.

As a result, they decided to adopt SAP S/4HANA® Cloud, which is a global de facto standard*² and SaaS*³ with the ability to adapt to future changes. SAP S/4HANA Cloud enabled them to use the Fit to Standard*⁴ approach to introduce changes to their management foundation quickly and cost-effectively. It also allows them to keep up with the latest technology through bi-annual feature updates.

Eight-Japan Engineering is set to introduce the latest version of SAP S/4HANA Cloud released by SAP Japan on October 4. With the latest version of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, programming using the ABAP® development language has made it possible to develop custom features in the cloud system, leading to better responses to customer requirements.

■Expected ERP Market Expansion

In Japan, the ERP market continues to grow year after year due to the recent push for DX and responses to the revised Law on Book and Record Keeping through Electronic Methods. It is expected to grow at an average annual growth rate of 11.6% by FY2025.

In addition, the SaaS ERP market is projected to grow at a high rate of 24.1%, as major vendors in the ERP market are pushing SaaS sales for new projects and existing package users are migrating to SaaS.
