NEW YORK (AP) _ Garrison Capital Inc. (GARS) on Monday reported a second-quarter loss of $2.7 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of 17 cents. Earnings, adjusted for investment costs, came to 11 cents per share.

The business development company posted revenue of $7.4 million in the period.

In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company's shares hit $3.65. A year ago, they were trading at $7.
